At Presbyterian, our team approach to hospice and palliative care allows us to develop individual care plans to anticipate, prevent and relieve symptoms with a focus on improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
Services
Presbyterian Hospice provides compassionate care to patients with terminal illnesses and supportive care to their families.
Our palliative care program focuses on relieving pain, symptoms and stress of patients with advanced disease.
Coverage of Services
Admission to Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care does require a physician's order, but is not based upon the ability to pay. Inherent in the philosophy of hospice is that every patient, no matter their income, deserves quality care and comfort. Presbyterian accepts reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance plans. Arrangements are made for patients without insurance and social workers will help families apply for Medicaid and community resources.
Support Hospice and Palliative Care
Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care is supported by the generous gifts of patients and their families. Our Volunteer Program is supported through the gift of time, whether that time is in our inpatient hospice unit, at a patient's home, through office support or in the community. Both the donations of time by our dedicated volunteers and financial gifts are greatly appreciated and help pay for services not covered by reimbursement.
